What is Mill-Turn Machining?
Traditional manufacturing of complex parts requires multiple machines — a lathe for turned features, a mill for pockets and holes, sometimes a second setup for back-side operations. Each repositioning introduces alignment errors.
Mill-turn machines combine both capabilities into a single platform. The part is turned, milled, drilled, and tapped without ever leaving the chuck — maintaining perfect concentricity and positional accuracy.
Advantages
Superior Accuracy
No repositioning errors between features
Faster Delivery
One setup instead of three — 50% faster
Lower Cost
Less handling and reduced scrap rates
Complex Geometry
Features impossible on separate machines
